Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to RoomWise AI, the RoomWise mobile app, this website and related support interactions. It describes information we collect, why we use it, who helps us process it and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use RoomWise, we may collect your Apple account identifier and profile details you choose to share; account and entitlement information; photos, reference images and text prompts you submit; generated images; Social posts, comments, saves and reports; limited usage and security records; and messages you send through our contact form.

Apple handles App Store payment information. RoomWise does not receive your payment-card number or other full payment credentials.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate you, provide and improve requested features, generate design concepts, maintain your account and project history, administer subscriptions, operate Social, respond to support requests, detect abuse, protect users, comply with law and enforce our Terms.

Photos, prompts and generated designs

When you confirm a design request, RoomWise sends the selected image and instructions through authenticated server functions to process the request and create the result. We apply generation controls intended to focus each result on the room and its objects and to exclude people, humans and animals from generated output. Use only photos and references you are authorised to submit.

Images handled by our server during processing are stored privately in access-controlled Supabase storage. Project history is kept in protected local storage by default. If you turn on Private project sync in Settings, RoomWise also stores private, access-controlled copies of your homes, room designs and images in Supabase so they can be restored after sign-in. Turning sync off stops cloud access and updates from the app; previously synced copies remain private until you re-enable sync and remove them or delete your account. A project is not published unless you deliberately share it to Social. Published Social content is stored so other signed-in users can view, save, comment on or use it as a reference. Reports may retain a limited snapshot for moderation and safety purposes.

Voice requests

On supported iPhone and iPad builds, Apple Speech converts a spoken request into text on-device before the text enters the design flow. RoomWise does not upload the voice recording for transcription.

Service providers

We use service providers that process information for the functions they support: Apple for Sign in with Apple, speech and App Store billing; Supabase for authentication, database, storage and server-side functions; OpenAI for confirmed design requests; Unsplash for curated public inspiration images; Vercel for website hosting; and FormSubmit to deliver messages sent through this website’s contact form.

These providers may process information from locations outside your state or country. We use them only as needed to provide the service, subject to their applicable terms and safeguards.

Website and contact form

This website does not use advertising trackers. Vercel may process standard technical request data, such as IP address, browser and request logs, to deliver and secure the site. When you use the contact form, FormSubmit receives the name, email address, subject and message you enter so it can deliver the message to us. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, authentication codes or unnecessary private images in a message.

Retention and deletion

Account deletion removes the authentication account, profile, private synced projects and images, shared designs, favourites, comments, account-linked usage records and associated local account data on that device. Limited purchase verification records may be retained to restore eligible purchases. One-way abuse-prevention fingerprints and attempt timestamps are retained for up to 35 days. Report evidence may be retained where necessary for moderation, legal obligations or dispute resolution.

Deleting your account or the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions through your Apple Account settings.

Your choices and rights

You can leave Private project sync off, turn it off later, keep projects private, remove projects, delete your RoomWise account in Settings, manage or cancel an App Store subscription in Apple settings, and use Social safety controls to report content or comments. You may ask about access to, correction of or deletion of personal information through the contact form. Privacy rights vary by location, and we will handle requests in line with applicable law.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information, including authenticated server-side processing and secure device storage for native authentication tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We may update this policy as our practices or legal obligations change; the latest version will show a new “Last updated” date.
